Job summary

Berkeley City Club is seeking an ambitious person to join our fast-paced Events team in Berkeley. You will guide clients through the private event process from inquiry to completion, serving as the go-to person for corporate, wedding and social events, membership meetings and group hotel blocks.

We value a self-starter who is highly organized, excels at communication, and can collaborate with Sales and Catering Managers to meet budget targets.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in event management preferred.
• Hospitality and/or Club industry experience is a plus.
• Self-starter with proactive work ethic.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide clients through the private event process from inquiry to completion.
• Serve as the go-to person for corporate, weddings and social events, membership events and group hotel blocks.

We are looking for an ambitious "people person" to complete our fast-paced Events team. In this role, you will guide clients through the private event process from inquiry to completion. You will be the go-to person for a variety of clientele, including corporate, weddings and social, membership, and team member appreciation events as well as group hotel blocks.

Requirements

Who You Are:

• Self-starter who will support the Sales and Catering Managers to achieve sales targets and expand the business to meet budgetary needs
• Open and willing to work in a multicultural environment
• Highly organized with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, members, and team members
• High attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
• Proficient in property management systems including Clubessential and ReserveCloud

What You’ll Bring:

• 1+ years of experience in event management preferred, Hospitality and/or Club industry is a plus
