Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Senior Student Associate in the Global Engagement area to help map and document international activities campus-wide. The role focuses on data collection, analysis, and reporting to support UT Austin’s global initiatives and alumni relations.

Responsibilities include data entry in a FileMaker Pro database, hosting inbound delegations, and assisting with travel preparations for university leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be a current graduate student at UT Austin (enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours during fall and spring).
• Available to work 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8 am–5 pm).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with self-direction and strong communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive data analysis of international activities across UT Austin CSUs; collect data from multiple sources and update the database.
• Clean and standardize data; keep detailed records and optimize data for visualization.
• Provide routine progress reports and prepare user-friendly findings for retrieval and searchability.
• Assist in coordinating inbound/outbound delegations, including research, reporting, and escorting visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
