Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Global Strategies Officer to advance UT’s global engagement and strategy. You will collaborate with 18 UT Schools/Colleges, faculty and international partners to drive strategic efforts on campus and abroad.

Responsibilities include coordinating international delegations, developing itineraries, briefs, and data-driven follow-ups for OGES leadership. A strong background in international education and diplomacy is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience or master’s degree and at least three years of relevant experience in higher education, government, foreign service or nonprofit programs related to international education.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Collaborative and proactive team player; interacts with individuals at all levels of the institution, including external contacts.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple concurrent projects, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism and intercultural competency; diplomacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a significant number of international delegations to campus.
• Ensure meetings with appropriate campus counterparts and prepare itineraries and collateral.
• Create briefs for UT delegation hosts and synthesize feedback for OGES leadership.
• Map and report on global engagement indicators and partnerships.
• Represent OGES in campus meetings and advance partnership engagement.
