Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Product Lifecycle Engineer for Electrical Products and Services to own electrical product design through its operational life in AWS data centers. You will collaborate with product development to understand all facets of each product and serve as the global go-to engineering resource for AWS electrical products deployed in data centers.

You will engage with suppliers, manufacture, and field teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and ongoing improvements while traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electrical/electronics product development.
• 5+ years with wiring, connectors, relays, circuit breakers, switchgear or transformers.

Responsibilities

• Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
• Work with global electrical equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Build trust and relationships with stakeholders (e.g. reliability, operations, design, compliance).
• Work on concurrent projects, in multiple geographic zones.
• Understand and explain complex systems in clear and concise language.
• Provide support to Field Engineering for root cause analysis, with collaboration with quality team for component-level investigations, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review for both mechanical and electrical issues.
• Listen to the voice of the customer to understand improvements for reliability or availability.
• Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to design product improvements and oversee root cause analysis.
• Contribute to our global body of knowledge and drive continuous improvement at a global scale
