Job summary

Vantage seeks a Global EH&S Director to lead and audit the company’s safety and environmental strategy from Deerfield, IL. You will partner with the COO, site leaders, and corporate functions to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous safety improvements across high-hazard manufacturing operations.

You will drive behavior-based safety programs, establish performance metrics, and translate regulatory requirements into actionable site programs with leadership accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline (Environmental/Chemical/Safety).
• 12+ years EH&S experience in chemical manufacturing or similar.
• Demonstrated leadership across multiple manufacturing locations with budget responsibility.
• Strong practical experience with OSHA regulations, PSM, and EPA RMP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global EH&S strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Establish EH&S policies, standards, metrics, and management systems (RC14001/ISO 14001/45001).
• Advise COO and senior leaders on safety, environmental, regulatory, and operational risks.
• Define accountability and decision rights for EH&S across the organization.
• Lead behavior-based safety program implementation across locations.
• Drive incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions.
