Job summary

Vantage Specialty Chemicals is seeking a Global EH&S Director to establish and audit the company’s global EH&S strategy, systems, and standards. The role reports to the COO, partnering with site leadership and corporate functions to ensure strong regulatory compliance and proactive safety culture.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in OSHA and EPA regulations, with a focus on process safety, risk management, and leadership development across multiple manufacturing locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Environmental/Chemical/Safety Eng, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemistry)
• Minimum 12 years of progressive EH&S experience in chemical manufacturing or high-hazard process industries
• Demonstrated leadership across multiple locations and ability to manage budgets
• Strong practical experience with OSHA regulations and process safety management (PSM) and EPA RMP

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and audit the company’s global EH&S strategy, systems, and standards.
• Serve as the principal EH&S advisor to COO and senior leadership on safety, environmental, and regulatory risks.
• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive behavior-based safety program across locations.
• Drive incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions across sites.
