Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Project and/or Process Management.
• At least 5 years experience in Operations Management.
• At least 2 years experience in Project Management.
• At least 2 years experience in People Management.
• Preferred: Master's degree in related fields.
• Six Sigma/Lean or other process-certifications are a plus.
• Experience in financial services recommended.

Responsibilities

• Secure Capital One's global payment ecosystem by transforming risk controls and enforcing rules.
• Build a multifaceted Participant Risk Rating strategy integrating financial and operational risk.
• Lead brand protection using risk-detection technologies and AI-augmented monitoring.
• Serve as trusted advisor to executives, translating risk data into strategic insights.
• Integrate risk ratings into participant lifecycle management and governance frameworks.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration between data science and operations.
• Recruit, mentor, and empower a high-performing Risk Specialists team.
• Finalize and maintain category and sub-category risk framework.
• Conduct risk and gap assessments to guide business decisions.
• Lead large-scale Risk Process Improvement and governance initiatives.
