Job summary

Illinois Tool Works Inc. is seeking a Division Controller in Glenview, IL to lead financial planning, analysis, and governance for a global business.

You will shape strategy, simplify processes, and foster a high-performing finance team through cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include long-range planning, improving reporting, and supporting ERP initiatives, while maintaining internal controls and accurate monthly statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience in manufacturing and commercial environments.
• 3+ years in a financial leadership role with direct people management responsibility.
• Strong partnering with senior leaders and translating financial analysis into clear recommendations.
• Experience leading financial planning, reporting, accounting controls, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual and long-term business plans with the VP/GM and Division Leadership Team.
• Lead long-range planning and provide financial insight to identify growth opportunities.
• Improve reporting tools and financial insights to support faster decisions.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, payroll, inventory and cost accounting.
• Support ERP implementation by aligning business processes and providing functional expertise.
• Maintain strong accounting practices and internal controls across all division locations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements with variance explanations.
• Lead planning and forecasting, delivering accurate monthly forecasts and performance targets.
