Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, NC seeks a Global Product Specialist in Automation-Digital Power Conversion Solutions to drive development of automation and digital capabilities for power converters and grid applications.

You will work with product managers, sales, and engineering to collect market needs, support roadmaps, and validate solutions against requirements, while ensuring compliance with grid codes and OT cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in automation engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience with power converters, grid automation, or battery storage.
• Knowledge of power systems and high/medium voltage equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, industrial communication protocols, and SCADA.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Gather and structure market requirements with product managers, sales, and engineering.
• Support technology assessments and business cases for roadmap development.
• Ensure solutions comply with grid codes, OT cybersecurity, and data regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, sales, tendering, and operations for product improvements.
• Document changes and share knowledge across teams.
