Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks an automation-focused professional to support development of automation and digital solutions for power converters and grid-connected applications.

You will work with product managers, sales, application engineering, customers, and other teams to capture market requirements and shape roadmaps. You will validate solutions against requirements, help build business cases, and align with grid codes, OT cybersecurity, and data management norms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in automation, CS, or related field.
• 2–5 years in power converters, grid automation, or battery energy storage sectors.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and industrial communications.
• Knowledge of high/low voltage equipment and grid generation.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect and structure market trends and customer requirements with product managers, sales, and application engineering.
• Ensure product solutions comply with grid codes, cybersecurity requirements, OT standards, and data regulations.
• Discuss new developments and requirements with key customers.
• Benchmark competitor solutions and emerging IT/OT technologies.
• Assess gaps between current automation and future needs; develop business cases.
• Support validation by reviewing test plans, performance data, and compliance against requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D, sales, tendering, and operations; support training and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
