Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a proactive automation-focused professional in Raleigh to support the evolution of automation and digital solutions for power converter and grid-connected applications.

You will work with product managers, sales, and engineering to gather market requirements, support technology assessments, and align product roadmaps with customer needs and regulatory requirements. The role involves contributing to business cases, validating solutions, and ensuring adherence to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in automation engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Two to five years of experience with power converters, grid automation, or energy storage
Strong knowledge of grid codes and OT cybersecurity best practices.
Ability to structure market requirements and develop business cases.

Responsibilities

Collect and structure market trends and customer requirements with product managers, sales, and application engineering.
Ensure product solutions comply with grid codes, cybersecurity requirements, OT standards, and data regulations.
Discuss new developments and requirements with key customers.
Support benchmarking of competitor solutions and emerging IT/OT technologies.
Develop business cases and studies to close identified technology gaps.
Contribute to validation activities by reviewing test plans and data against requirements.
Collaborate with R&D, sales, tendering, and operations while supporting training.
