Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a Principal Enterprise Data Platform Architect to lead the global data architecture and modern data operating system across multi-cloud environments. You will drive governance, security, and AI infrastructure standards while mentoring a global engineering team.

Preferred candidates have 10+ years in enterprise data and cloud design, strong leadership, and expertise in Python, SQL, Databricks, and AI/LLM integrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise data architecture, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure design.
• 3+ years leading technical teams in a global enterprise.
• Expert proficiency in multi-cloud environments (OCI, GCP, Azure).
• Experience architecting enterprise AI/ML infrastructure and LLM integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own the global architecture blueprint and technology decision trees for Avery Dennison's enterprise analytical and AI platforms, architecting the 10-Layer Modern Data Operating System across multi-cloud environments.
• Architect and deploy the centralized Metadata Control Plane and automated Data Catalog with schema tracking and data quality observability.
• Design and govern enterprise AI infrastructure standards including Vector Databases, Knowledge Graphs, Feature Stores, and RAG pipelines.
• Design and enforce Universal Security Model with ABAC, fine-grained masking, and Okta/AD integration, with observable platform health.
• Guide and mentor the Data Platform Engineering squad and partner with HR on technical career progression.
