Job summary

Applied Systems is seeking a Manager, Data Migration to lead a team of Data Migration Engineers responsible for moving customer data from legacy systems into Applied Systems SaaS products. This role partners with Onboarding, Success Services, Development, Operations, and Support to deliver end-to-end migration projects in a global, Follow-the-Sun environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams and conducting performance conversations.
• Strong knowledge of database structures and SQL; able to review scripts and guide migration work.
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data mapping, and data quality best practices.
• Hands-on experience with SaaS data migration or ETL in production environments.
• Ability to manage multiple competing project timelines and adjust plans.
• Experience working in a global, cross-time-zone environment.
• Clear, effective communication; ability to present to stakeholders and customers.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in IS/CS/DS/SE.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Data Migration Engineers with 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Own team performance using project data and dashboards to drive improvements.
• Provide technical guidance on migration approaches, script reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Adapt priorities as resources or timelines change to focus on critical work.
• Monitor projects, identify risks, and manage escalations across tools like Slack, Jira, and email.
• Review and approve scripts, development tickets, and post-activation scripts.
