Job summary

Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates data centers globally and seeks a Director of Regional Development to grow Meta’s regional data center portfolio in line with strategic AI objectives. You will lead regional development, coordinate with design, engineering, construction, and legal to reach aggressive capacity targets, and mentor teams to deliver scalable capacity.

The role focuses on site selection, capital projects, and risk management across North America, with travel 25%+.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in industrial real estate, infrastructure and development.
• Proven track record delivering large multi-party deals for data center capacity.
• 8+ years managing regional programs and organizations.
• Strong leadership and negotiation on complex multi-variable deals.
• Experience delivering large capital projects with complex structures.
• Ability to open new markets and channels for data center capacity.

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead the regional development program to enable capacity growth.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, construction, and legal to meet capacity targets.
• Guide strategic approaches to new capacity while managing risk.
• Accountable for data center site selection and development in a defined NA region.
• Deliver cost effective capacity with flexibility and options.
• Represent Meta with suppliers, government, regulators, and stakeholders.
• On-board and mentor internal staff and support career development.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (25%+).
