Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks an exceptional Controls Design Engineer to join our Data Center Global Services (DCGS) Controls Design Engineering team. This role focuses on Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) design standards and coordination across AWS's global data center portfolio.

You will lead development of CPLs, BOD documents, and SOWs while ensuring consistency and excellence across data center control systems.

Qualifications

4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
4+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment.
Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain BMS/EPMS standards for global projects.
Lead collaboration with construction teams, controls programmers, MEP/ACS engineers, Design Engineering, and project managers to accomplish goals.
Coordinate with regional project managers to review and finalize project SOWs.
Drive cost reductions by minimizing change orders, reducing scope gaps, and optimizing vendor pricing.
