Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Controls Design Engineer to shape global data center control standards and drive cost efficiencies through standardization.

You will lead BMS/EPMS specifications, CPLs, and basis of design across Leased, Build-to-Suit, and Colocation facilities. The role requires deep knowledge of building operations, electrical and mechanical systems, and project management with 4+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil/gas facilities experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, industrial HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standards for building operations, BMS/EPMS programming concepts, control diagrams, and environmental concepts.
• Coordinate with project teams to finalize SOWs and ensure compliance with AWS standards.
• Lead vendor selection, bid reviews, and submittal evaluation; review MDTs for electrical meters and control devices.
• Operate in high-security environments, analyze control data, and support global data center projects.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed to manage initiatives.
