Job summary

Amazon is seeking an exceptional Controls Design Engineer to join the DCGS team. You will lead BMS/EPMS design standards, coordinate across global projects, and manage SOWs with internal and external teams.

This role demands strong leadership, scalable documentation, and a global perspective on building controls and automation for AWS data centers. You will work on building operations, electrical power monitoring, and environmental control systems, while travel and collaboration with diverse

Qualifications

4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
4+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, industrial HVAC.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and disseminate BMS/EPMS standards and specifications.
Coordinate with regional teams to finalize project SOWs and ensure alignment with global standards.
Lead vendor selection processes, bid reviews, and submittal reviews for compliance with AWS standards.
Operate in high-security, mission-critical environments while maximizing productivity and safety.
Travel domestically and internationally as needed to manage projects (circa 25%).
