Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Capacity Deployment Lead for its Data Center Operations organization. You will drive deployment of compute capacity across partner-operated data centers, from kickoff to ready-for-service, including on-site hands-on work, QA, and handover into maintenance.

Expect 50%+ travel and close collaboration with vendors, site operations, and leadership to set direction and standards. You will manage deployment milestones, validate acceptance criteria, and translate lessons learned

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data center operations or hardware deployment.
• Proven track record leading compute or network hardware deployments at scale across multiple sites.
• Managed vendors, OEMs or contract workforces to measurable outcomes.
• Hands-on depth in server, network, and rack hardware to verify deployment quality.
• Built or improved operational processes and can use telemetry data to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment outcomes for assigned sites and data-hall waves, meet ready-for-service dates and close out risks.
• Lead deployment readiness from construction kickoff, ensuring floor access, power, network, receiving paths, and staffing.
• Be on site at key points before and during delivery, verify work with direct inspection.
• Collaborate with site leadership to ensure success through rack delivery, QA, power-on and network turn-up, burn-in.
• Validate handover gates for each CU and data hall with documentation, spares, tickets, and handover to production and maintenance.
• Translate best practices and lessons learned into program-wide improvements and standards.
• Extend deployment program to new sites and platforms with updated criteria.
• Communicate status, dependencies, and risks to engineering, capacity planning, and leadership.
