Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Capacity Deployment Lead to scale compute capacity across partner-operated data centers. You will drive deployment from kickoff to ready-for-service, working with hardware vendors and site partners to meet milestones and quality gates.

You will travel 50%+ to sites, verify work hands-on, and implement program-wide improvements based on deployments, aligning with Anthropic's HPC data center strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data center operations or hardware deployment.
• Proven track record leading compute hardware deployments at large scale across sites.
• Experience managing vendors, OEMs, or contract workforces.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ and work on-site during delivery surges.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment outcomes for assigned sites and data-hall waves.
• Lead readiness activities from construction kickoff to RFS.
• Be on-site during delivery, deployment, QA and close-out with hands-on support.
• Coordinate with partner site leadership to ensure rack delivery, QA, power-on and network turn-up.
• Validate handover gate for each CU and data hall; ensure docs, spares, and tickets are ready.
• Translate deployment learnings into program-wide improvements and checklists.
• Extend deployment program to new sites and platforms with updated standards.
• Communicate status, dependencies, constraints, and risks to engineering and leadership.
