Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Customs Specialist in the United States to optimize customs clearance processes and support global supply chains. You will handle customs entry transactions, prepare documents, and ensure compliance with NBSC guidelines, FDA/EPA/etc.

This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and delivering reliable service to customers in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of customs clearance experience, working knowledge of Cargo Wise, and a solid understanding

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in Customs Clearance for road and rail transport.
• Working knowledge of Cargo Wise.
• Knowledge of domestic and international geography incl. major cities and U.S. regulatory laws.
• Basic knowledge of INCO terms and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and other government agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process shipments per NBSC guidelines and branch instructions.
• Input data accurately to support entry and brokerage processes.
• Classify goods per SOPs and customer instructions.
• Review documents for accuracy and verify critical data elements.
• Coordinate import documentation with clients and notify status to carrier.
