Job summary

Secretlab in Dallas is seeking a Customs Operations Specialist to join our global logistics team. You will oversee daily import and export activities, coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and ensure on-time, compliant shipment movements across multiple regions.

This role emphasizes accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and data integrity. You will monitor shipments, manage entry filings, and escalate discrepancies while helping optimize processes aligned with business

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in import/export operations, logistics, supply chain, or customs brokerage.
Experience with US and Canadian import and customs processes.
Proficiency with spreadsheets, ERP, and logistics systems.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to coordinate with brokers and carriers.
Knowledge of customs requirements and documentation.
License or certification as customs broker.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day import and export activity with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
Compile and transmit shipment data and docs to brokers for entry filings.
Review customs entries for completeness and escalate discrepancies.
Track inbound/outbound shipments and monitor clearance status.
Serve as daily contact for brokers and forwarders on docs and status queries.
Maintain organized records per retention requirements.
Monitor holds and discrepancies, elevate as needed.
Support post-entry activities like post-summary corrections and duty drawback.
Align processes with regulatory requirements and SOPs.
Monitor regulatory bulletins and flag changes to stakeholders.
Identify recurring errors and process gaps.
