Job summary

DistributionNOW in Houston, TX seeks a Corporate Counsel to manage domestic and international contracts, provide legal guidance to business units, and ensure compliance with governing laws.

You will negotiate Distributor Agreements, Master Service Agreements, and other contracts, coordinate with finance and real estate teams, and advise senior leadership on risk and revisions across global subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in-house or at a large law firm.
• JD or LLM equivalent.
• Strong presentation skills to key stakeholders within the organization.
• Self-starter mentality with limited oversight.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all departments across the company, identify and analyze issues, draft key documents, present clear recommendations, and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate domestic and international legal agreements for energy sectors and supply chain services.
• Support negotiation and drafting of various agreements (Distributor, Master Service, Vendor, Equipment Sales, Real Estate, Confidentiality) and ensure compliance with DNOW standards and governing law.
• Advise senior leadership and foreign subsidiaries on revisions and rationale for contract changes.
