Job summary

Jereh North America Group seeks a Corporate Counsel to support its North American Legal function in Houston. The role collaborates with Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and leadership on commercial transactions involving industrial equipment, power generation, and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Formal legal education such as a Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent.
• Professional legal experience involving commercial agreements, contractual analysis, or corporate matters.
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, interpreting, or negotiating commercial contracts.
• Understanding of contractual risk allocation and the commercial implications of legal provisions.
• Ability to examine unfamiliar issues, conduct research, and develop well-supported recommendations.
• Strong written communication, analytical reasoning, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work directly with business stakeholders.
• Availability to work full-time, on-site in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret customer and supplier agreements and other commercial documents.
• Evaluate provisions involving indemnification, liability, warranties, and IP.
• Identify risks and propose practical alternatives that protect interests.
• Participate in negotiations with customers, suppliers, and external counsel.
• Support corporate governance, compliance, due diligence, and cross-border matters.
