Job summary

Kontoor Brands seeks a Controller of Accounting and Reporting to oversee global accounting and financial reporting, including SEC reporting, internal management reporting, and policies. This role supervises the Corporate Accounting & Reporting team and partners across departments and with external advisors.

The role drives strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, dispositions and process changes, and oversees sustainability and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA or equivalent international certification required.
• 15+ years of cumulative experience in accounting/financial reporting at a Big 4 or mid-tier firm or US publicly traded company.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC and SOX reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close, consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and balance sheet reviews.
• Lead SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and disclosures, and coordination of quarterly earnings materials.
• Lead technical accounting research and implementation of new standards; oversee global policies.
• Coordinate external audit procedures for global consolidated statements and liaise with CFO, Tax, Treasury, Legal, FP&A, and Supply Chain.
• Support international accounting teams; oversee sustainability reporting and US benefit plan reporting.
