Job summary

ACS seeks an Assistant Director of Components based in Washington, DC, to drive strategic leadership, expand its global component network, and deliver scalable support. You will guide a high-performance team, design governance-forward programs, and partner with marketing, legal, and finance to optimize engagement and impact.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, KPI dashboards, and measurable ROI, with a focus on international growth and sustainable expansion of the member ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years and 4 years of progressive management experience in relevant roles.
• Experience in customer success, partner network, or nonprofit/ Membership organizations is valued.
• Experience building scalable distributed networks or teams and driving measurable results.
• Domestic and international exposure expected (20-30%).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for the component network.
• Design scalable support infrastructure and self-service resources.
• Lead and develop components support team and drive performance.
• Design leadership development programs for volunteers and succession planning.
• Engage stakeholders across marketing, finance, and legal to enable success.
