Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Senior Associate in GES to develop and implement strategies that maximize client benefits by reducing current and future taxes. Work includes taxation of equity/deferred compensation and both individual and corporate income taxes.

You will lead research, compliance, and compensation consulting tasks, supervise associates, and contribute to strategic advisory engagements for executive compensation and related regulatory matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources (preferred)
• Master’s degree preferred
• Two (2) or more years of experience in compensation or strategic service consulting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Identify situations in which research is necessary and outline the issue with the appropriate sources
• Analyze researched facts and sources used
• Prepare detailed reports of research findings
• Assist with compensation planning and benchmarking for executive compensation models
• Ensure clients comply with authorities while identifying options to minimize tax and reporting burdens
• Document and organize work product for review by senior professionals
• Review SEC filings and monitor regulatory actions regarding executive compensation rules
• Advise clients on compliance strategies and best practices
• Develop understanding of clients’ business objectives to inform compensation strategy
