Job summary

BDO USA seeks a GES Senior Associate to develop and implement strategies to maximize client benefits by reducing current and future taxes. The role covers equity and deferred compensation taxation, as well as individual and corporate income taxes.

Responsibilities include research, tax compliance, compensation consulting, and strategy development, with supervision of Associates and Interns. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources, preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Two (2) or more years of prior work experience required; focus in compensation and/or strategic service consulting preferred.
• Certified Compensation Professional, CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify situations requiring research and outline issues with sources.
• Analyze researched facts and sources and document findings.
• Prepare detailed reports on research findings.
• Assist with compensation planning and benchmarking for executive compensation models.
• Ensure clients comply with authorities while identifying tax-minimization options.
• Review SEC filings and best-practice guidelines for compensation opportunities.
• Develop studies of market practices and identify alternative actions for clients.
• Supervise day-to-day workload and train Associates and Interns.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources

Master’s degree
