Job summary

Gates Corporation in Denver, CO, is seeking a seasoned Compensation Specialist to lead global compensation projects within the Global Compensation Center of Excellence. You will oversee job evaluation, market benchmarking, the annual compensation planning cycle, bonus administration, and pay equity analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive compensation experience, including 3 years in job evaluation and market benchmarking.
• Experience supporting compensation programs across multiple countries or regions.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; able to model, validate, and explain compensation data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Tier 2 escalation support for complex job evaluation, pay actions, and policy questions.
• Advise HR Business Partners on promotions, job levels, market adjustments, and retention actions.
• Lead market pricing and benchmarking projects across regions; update pay ranges based on survey data.
• Manage annual survey data submission and market data updates for assigned regions or job families.
• Maintain job catalog and job architecture governance; improve leveling guidelines and benchmarking standards.
