Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Data Center Technician to install server racks, diagnose hardware and network issues, and participate in on-call rotations to keep our cloud infrastructure running reliably for customers worldwide.

You will work with a diverse team of engineers and operators, providing essential support across data centers and related facilities, while adapting to shifts that cover days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience or IT-related experience.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking (troubleshooting/repair) experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware break-fix; troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents to maintain service availability.
• Serve as primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in maintenance and change-management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Help interview, train and onboard new team members.
