The role partners with Finance, Tax, Compliance, Digital/IT and regional teams to standardize processes, manage regional variations, and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, controls and business value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of clinical research leadership experience in pharmaceutical/biotech, leading operational teams and delivering business outcomes.
• Strong business acumen with understanding of clinical trial financial operations including site payments and investigator grants.
• Experience managing teams and driving operational performance in a matrixed environment.
• Proven ability to leverage data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own the global Site Budgets & Payments Operational Excellence capability and stewardship model, defining strategic direction and ensuring governance, analytics, and enablement evolve with needs.
• Serve as senior authority for end-to-end process stewardship across Site Budgets and Site Payments, including architecture, integration, governance, analytics and transformation.
• Establish globally consistent end-to-end process architecture, documentation, governance, and change control with ex-US variations.
• Lead Regional Support Model and onboarding, ensuring regional requirements are incorporated and benefits realized.
• Build organizational capability through training, onboarding, knowledge management, and change strategies for regions.
• Steward the integrated business process and systems roadmap, coordinating intake, prioritization, and sequencing with capability and technology owners.
• Gather and reconcile requirements with Site Budgets/Payments leadership; translate into integrated process, governance, analytics, enablement, and change solutions.
• Use analytics and operational data to guide priorities, measure adoption and benefits, and support cross-capability decisions.
• Lead end-to-end root-cause analysis and continuous improvement for cross-functional issues, ensuring containment where needed.
• Represent Regional Operations in governance forums and partnerships as the accountable leader for this domain.
