Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ, seeks an Associate Director, Site Payment Operations, to lead U.S. site payment execution within Regional Operations.

You will drive day-to-day delivery, controls, and stakeholder communications to ensure accurate, timely clinical trial payments. You will partner with global and regional teams to define business rules, controls, and solutions, coaching teams for reliable service outcomes in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of clinical research experience with payments or related operations.
• Experience leading operational teams and managing performance in a matrixed org.

Responsibilities

• Lead U.S. site payment execution and translate global rules into daily operations.
• Own delivery across teams, including timeliness, accuracy, backlog and controls.
• Ensure integrity of payment operations across connected systems and reconciliations.
• Coach and coordinate payment ops teams with clear accountabilities and priorities.
• Communicate timelines, risks, and dependencies to sites, Finance, IT, and Tax.
• Contain, recover from disruptions and escalate material risks as needed.
