Job summary

Deckers Brands, creator of HOKA, seeks a Director of Creative Copywriting to lead global brand storytelling and verbal identity. You will define narratives, partner with senior leaders, and guide a team of writers to deliver campaigns that resonate across markets and channels.

You will steer editorial strategy, collaborate with Brand, Product, Marketing, and Regions, and thoughtfully integrate AI into daily workflows to elevate ideation, efficiency, and quality. remote with West Coast preference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Advertising, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience in advertising, brand marketing, editorial, or in-house creative leadership, preferably in sport/lifestyle.
• Proven ability to lead a Copy/Editorial/Content/Storytelling function in a global or matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Define, evolve, and champion HOKA’s global brand voice, verbal identity, and narrative approach.
• Lead a high-performing team of writers and manage external partners to deliver consistent storytelling.
• Translate brand plans into multi-year editorial strategy and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
