Job summary

Lucid Motors in Southfield, MI is seeking a Supply Chain Group Manager focused on BIW components. You will lead a global team of supply chain professionals and partner with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality and Manufacturing to deliver parts on time and within cost.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, 8+ years in procurement/sourcing, and experience from design to production. Strong analytical, negotiation, and project-management skills are essential; travel 15-25% is

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Technical/Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
Minimum 8 years Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Contract Manufacturing or Engineering experience on relevant commodity.
Product launch experience from concept to production (not limited to automotive).
Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis.
Strong teamwork and problem solving to drive solutions.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; results-driven.

Responsibilities

Have global supply chain experience within BIW – castings, extrusions, consumables, fasteners.
Manage and mentor a global team of supply chain professionals.
Present upward status of objectives, strategies, and remedies to issues.
Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify qualified suppliers meeting Lucid’s timelines.
Create RFQs, review and analyze quotations, and develop sound sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time and technical considerations.
Negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs and Engineering Services.
Release parts into production and issue POs for Prototype/Production Parts and Tooling.
Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, and address delays or problems.
Maintain supplier relationships and provide internal reports on sourcing status and cost.
Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers for business and program reviews.
