Job summary

Barings in Charlotte, NC, seeks an Associate Director, Global Benefits Operations, to lead the administration and delivery of benefits programs globally. You will partner across HR, Finance, Legal, Procurement, HRIS, and vendors to ensure high-quality programs and services.

The role emphasizes benefits comms, enrollment planning, and leveraging Workday to enhance benefits administration and self-service. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, finance or related field.
• 7+ years in employee benefits administration and operations.
• Strong knowledge of health & welfare, retirement, disability, leave, wellness.
• Experience managing vendors, carriers and third-party admins.
• Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, Section 125.
• Experience leading annual enrollment and comms campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs.
• Partner with MassMutual and internal teams to align strategy.
• Manage enrollment changes, life events, data exchanges.
• Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing.
• Lead annual enrollment planning and execution.
• Communicate benefits guides and enrollment materials.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Work with HRIS to enhance Workday benefits administration.
• Drive process improvements for efficiency and experience.
