Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Associate Director, Global Business Development Forecasting to lead forecasts and commercial analyses that shape executive understanding of opportunity value and risk. You will work across R&D, Commercial, and CBSO to align assumptions and deliver decision-ready insights.

The role requires strong forecasting and analytics, Excel modeling, and experience with IQVIA Forecast Horizon, plus the ability to influence across functions in a fast-moving, matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of forecasting, market analytics, finance, or life sciences consulting experience in pharma/biotech or related industries.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or business required.
• Experience building forecast models in Excel and using forecasting platforms like IQVIA Forecast Horizon.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial forecasting, market assessments, scenario analyses, and P&Ls for BD opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop patient-based forecast models and test assumptions using primary/secondary data, epidemiology, and market insights.
• Partner with BD, PCS, finance, market access, epidemiology, marketing analytics, and senior leadership to align assumptions and governance.
• Translate analyses into executive-ready recommendations and decision options for leadership.
• Advance BD forecasting capabilities by improving tools, processes, and audit-ready methods.
