Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director for Global Business Development Forecasting to lead forecasts and commercial perspectives that shape opportunity value, risk, and strategic fit across R&D, Commercial, and governance forums.

The role spans across R&D, Commercial, Pipeline Commercial Strategy, CBSO, BD Finance, and other partners, requiring clear executive communication and the ability to influence in a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of forecasting, market analytics, finance, or life sciences consulting in pharma/biotech.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred; Bachelor's in finance/accounting or business required.
• Experience building forecast models in Excel and IQVIA; epidemiology and market research inputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial forecasting, market assessments, scenario analyses, and P&Ls for BD opportunities.
• Develop patient-based forecast models and test assumptions with data from epidemiology, secondary data, and market research.
• Partner across BD, PCS, finance, market access, epidemiology, marketing analytics, and senior leadership to align assumptions and reflect commercial perspectives in deal valuation.
• Translate complex analyses into executive recommendations, narratives, and decision options for senior leaders.
• Advance BD forecasting capabilities by sharing best practices and improving tools and processes.
