Job summary

Whatnot is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Manager to lead the end-to-end AP function within our Finance team. You will scale AP operations, drive process improvements, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate vendor payments and strong controls across US and international entities.

You will manage a small AP team, enforce policy compliance, and optimize workflows in NetSuite and Zip/Coupa, while supporting month-end close and audit readiness in a fast-growing,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounts payable or accounting roles, including at least 1 year leading a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus but not required).
• Strong proficiency in NetSuite and procurement/AP tools such as Zip, Coupa, or similar.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency AP operations; international AP exposure a strong plus.
• Deep understanding of AP internal controls, payment fraud prevention, and segregation of duties.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounts payable cycle — PO to payment and reconciliation.
• Manage and mentor a small AP team; provide guidance and feedback.
• Enforce purchase policy and ensure vendor spend is properly authorized.
• Oversee payment runs (ACH, wire, check) across US and international entities.
• Own AP close activities: accruals, vendor reconciliations, aged payables.
• Lead or contribute to AP system improvements and automation projects.
• Support AP processes across US and international entities; multi-currency and VAT considerations.
• Maintain audit-ready AP documentation and assist external auditors.
