Job summary

Cart.com is seeking an experienced Manager of Accounts Payable to lead a small AP team, own the end-to-end invoice-to-payment process, and ensure timely payments. You’ll drive process improvements, enforce tax compliance, and partner with procurement, finance, and IT to optimize AP systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Experience supervising an AP team.
• Experience in high-growth environments (e-commerce/tech).
• Familiarity with W-9 and 1099 reporting.
• Proficient in Bill.com and Microsoft Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire accounts payable process including invoice processing and payment execution.
• Supervise AP team of three to four associates with coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies (W-9/1099).
• Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and system enhancements.
• Maintain strong vendor relations and resolve invoicing issues promptly.
• Support monthly close with AP reconciliations and accruals.
• Prepare AP reports on cash flow, vendor performance, and cycles.
• Collaborate with IT and finance to maintain AP systems (Bill.com, Dynamics).
• Prepare for internal and external audits with documentation and reports.
• Develop training materials and SOPs for the AP team.
• Work cross-functionally with procurement, finance, and operations.
