Job summary

Cart.com is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager in the United States to lead and optimize all AP processes, ensuring timely payments and accuracy. You will supervise a small AP team, enforce tax compliance (W-9/1099), and drive automation and system improvements with cross-functional partners in finance and operations.

You will manage month-end close activities, produce AP metrics, and support audits while maintaining strong vendor relationships and high data integrity.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounts payable experience, including vendor management.
• Experience leading an AP team in a high-growth environment.
• Proficient with AP tools such as Bill.com and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
• CPA/CMA certification is a plus for this role.
• Experience with automation tools to streamline AP processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire accounts payable process: invoices, payments, vendor management, reconciliations.
• Lead and mentor an AP team of 3–4 associates to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure policy/compliance with tax regs (W-9, 1099) and accounting standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation to scale AP.
• Maintain strong vendor relations and resolve invoicing issues promptly.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and AP-related reports.
• Collaborate with IT/Finance to optimize AP systems (Bill.com, Dynamics).
• Prepare for audits with accurate AP documentation and reports.
• Develop training materials and SOPs for AP processes.
• Coordinate with procurement/finance/ops to streamline cross-functional workflows.
