Job summary

Expeditors International is seeking an Air Export Associate in Hebron Estates, KY. You will assist the manager and supervisor with all aspects of the Air Export Department, ensuring smooth freight flow and exceptional customer service for international shipments.

Responsibilities include document prep, rate negotiations with vendors, accurate billing and data entry, and ensuring compliance with OPS and government regulations. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industry specific qualification (country-specific).
• Good market and product knowledge.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager and Supervisor with all aspects of the Air Export Department, ensuring proper and timely movement of freight with exceptional customer service.
• Prepare various documents for international transportation.
• Coordinate and negotiate rates with contracted vendors for space and services.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing and data entry into the operating system.
• Interact with customers to arrange international export shipments and meet service standards.
• Maintain compliance with OPS and government regulations and customer policies.
