Job summary

OSTTRA is seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer in New York City to provide second‑line technical support for core trade processing applications across on‑premises, client premises, and cloud environments.

You will monitor systems, drive incident resolution, collaborate with Development, Product and Delivery teams, and contribute to proactive health monitoring and automation, with a flexible weekend rotation.

Qualifications

1–2 years in Application Support, Production Support or similar technical role, ideally in financial services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus).
SDLC understanding with ability to analyze and raise bugs in JIRA.
Strong SQL/RDBMS knowledge; Windows and Linux familiarity; basic networking.
ITIL knowledge and ability to follow established support processes.

Responsibilities

Provide 2nd‑line, client‑facing technical support for escalated issues.
Monitor systems and drive incident management and swift resolutions.
Collaborate with Development for 3rd‑line escalations and with Product/Delivery for releases.
Lead initiatives on proactive health monitoring and automation.
Handle global handover between EMEA and APAC support streams.
