Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Austin, TX is seeking an Engineering Intern to support standard engineering tasks across market segments. You will assist with design updates, data entry, documentation, and presentations under supervision.

Responsibilities include collecting data for continuous improvement, presenting solutions, and assisting with ad hoc projects while maintaining a GPA and active campus involvement. This paid internship runs full-time during the term.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geospatial fields, or related science.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus or community involvement preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States full-time without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
