Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to support environmental services projects in Austin and Fort Worth. You will perform standard engineering tasks, assist lead engineers, and contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting.

The role emphasizes GIS/Geospatial work with campus involvement and a 3.0 GPA or higher, and requires US work authorization without sponsorship. This is a full-time internship with travel up to 5% as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education or a technical program related to the work.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns and research project-related issues.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
