Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Minneapolis/St Paul to assist with standard engineering techniques, design updates, and project support in Environmental Services. You will help with data entry, presentations, and analysis while gaining practical, real-world experience.

The role requires ongoing GIS-related study, strong communication skills, and a 3.0 GPA or higher. This is a full-time, on-site internship with potential travel up to 5% and the opportunity to contribute to

Qualifications

• Pursuing or enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a post-secondary program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States full-time without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with standard engineering tasks and design updates.
• Support lead engineers with project duties.
• Assist with data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Research solutions and present findings to concerns.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
