Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Minneapolis, MN to apply standard engineering techniques across Environmental Services projects. You will assist with data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations while supporting lead engineers on diverse tasks.

The internship emphasizes GPA, campus involvement, and legal work authorization in the United States. Strong Excel/Office skills and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Currently enrolled, in good standing, in a related post-secondary/technical program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship/consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus or community activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
