Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Engineering Interns to apply standard engineering techniques for design, data entry, documentation, and support to lead engineers across market segments. You will assist with environmental projects, data analysis, and ad hoc tasks while maintaining compliance with company policies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and leadership, with a background in Environmental/Civil/Chemical Engineering and ABET preference.

Qualifications

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program.
  • ABET accreditation strongly Preferred.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience Preferred.
  • Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, Power Point presentations.
  • Assist with responses to general questions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Present solutions to concerns and recommend improvements.
  • Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and propose fixes.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies and standards.
