Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking a GIS Specialist to support the GIS Coordinator across a variety of projects. You will analyze data, develop advanced maps, configure web GIS solutions, and automate processes within the ArcGIS environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and strong communication. Office locations include ND offices with potential travel; a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in GIS-related field from an accredited college or university.
• 3-5 years’ experience with ESRI GIS software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Knowledge of GIS for land development, public works, planning and transportation.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS scripting languages (Arcade, Python, VB, JavaScript).

Responsibilities

• Prepare advanced maps and GIS automation using ArcGIS.
• Develop and manage quality control procedures and documentation.
• Acquire spatial data and integrate datasets into the GIS.
• Configure web-based GIS solutions and dashboards.
• Produce presentation-quality maps for internal use.
• Collaborate within a team and communicate effectively.
