Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking a GIS Specialist to support the GIS Coordinator on a wide range of projects. You will perform data analysis, develop advanced maps, and configure web-based GIS solutions in the ArcGIS environment.

The role emphasizes automation in ArcGIS, QA procedures, and collaboration with internal and external clients. Occasional travel and field data collection are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, Computer Science, or GIS-related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience with ESRI GIS suite including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS solutions configuration (Survey123, Field Maps, Dashboards, Story Maps, Web App Builder or Experience Builder).
• Knowledge of GIS in land development, local government, public works, planning, municipal engineering, water resources, environmental permitting, transportation and related planning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare advanced detailed maps and GIS automation.
• Produce presentation-quality maps using cartographic standards.
• Develop and manage QA procedures and process documentation.
• Acquire spatial data and integrate into the organization’s GIS.
