Job summary

Apex Engineering Group seeks a GIS Analyst who can be based at Any Apex Office (Minot, Fargo, Bismarck, Dickinson, MN) and support the GIS Coordinator on diverse client projects. The role focuses on data analysis, advanced map development, and web GIS solutions with ArcGIS.

Responsibilities include creating detailed maps, automating workflows in ArcGIS, implementing quality control, and collaborating with teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geography, CS, or GIS field from an accredited college.
• 3–5 years GIS ESRI software experience including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Survey123.
• Knowledge of GIS in land development, local government, and transportation planning.
• Relational databases and GIS programming languages (Arcade, Python, VB, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with CAD data and GIS conversion.
• Experience with high-accuracy GPS data collection.
• Valid driver's license; regional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare advanced maps and GIS automation using GIS software with CAD knowledge.
• Produce presentation quality maps for internal use.
• Develop and manage quality control procedures and documentation.
• Acquire spatial data and integrate datasets into the GIS.
• Maintain attention to detail on concurrent tasks and deadlines.
• Collaborate within a team and communicate effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
