Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care in the GI procedural setting, circulating and assisting in the GI suite. You will collaborate with the nursing staff in pre/post areas to plan, implement and evaluate patient care and educate patients and families.

The role emphasizes flexible hours, teamwork, and leadership through mentoring and continuous improvement, with eligibility for TN sponsorship and state licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of professional RN experience required.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• BLS certification valid for 90 days post start date (AHA/HeartCode BLS, Military Training Network, Red Cross CPR/Health Care Providers).
• Excellent communication, teamwork, flexibility, leadership and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Circulating and assisting in the GI procedural suite.
• Coordinate nursing care across pre/post areas and plan/educate patients and families.
• Participate in Nurse Residency Program for new graduates if applicable.
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement activities.
